Deputy Commissioner for the Day
State law designates the County Clerk as a commissioner of civil marriages and allows the County Clerk to deputize individuals to perform civil marriages.
If you have a friend or family member that you would like to perform your marriage ceremony, they can be deputized to do so. Click Here to learn more.
Persons Authorized to Perform Marriages
State law authorizes religious leaders, certain elected officials, and judges to perform marriage ceremonies. You can Click Here to see the whole list.
Any authorized individual may perform your ceremony, and an Internet search for marriage officiants will give you many options.
